Cameroon\u2019s growing reputation in African football officiating has received another significant endorsement after three of its female match officials were selected by CAF for the WAFCON 2026 Preparation Course scheduled to take place from 25 to 30 June 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The shortlist includes Ntagh Innocentia Njang and Aline Guimbang, who have been invited as referees, while Carine Atezambong has been selected among the assistant referees. Their inclusion places Cameroon among the countries with multiple representatives in the elite preparatory programme organized by the Confederation of African Football ahead of the 2026 Women\u2019s Africa Cup of Nations.<\/p>\n

For Carine Atezambong, the selection crowns an exceptional season on the continental stage. The Cameroonian official recently made headlines after serving as a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) during the CAF Confederation Cup final, further establishing herself as one of the continent\u2019s most respected match officials.<\/p>\n
