In a contest that many expected to test Fortuna\u2019s credentials, it was the home side who rose to the occasion with a ruthless first-half display that left the visitors stunned.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fortuna wasted little time asserting themselves, pressing high and forcing errors from a usually composed Unisport back line. The breakthrough arrived in the 25th minute when S\u00e9bastien Noah punished defensive hesitation to slot home the opener. It was a goal that visibly unsettled Unisport, who struggled to regain their rhythm.<\/p>\n<p>Marc Essono doubled Fortuna\u2019s advantage in the 38th minute, rising above his marker to power in a well-delivered set piece. With Unisport still reeling, the home side struck again on the stroke of half-time. Joseph Pernaud Mbock finished off a swift attacking move in the 45th minute, capping a clinical opening 45 minutes that effectively decided the contest.<\/p>\n<p>Needing a response after the interval, Unisport attempted to raise the tempo but found Fortuna disciplined and compact. Their afternoon deteriorated further when Ngaffa Hermann was shown a red card, reducing the visitors to ten men and extinguishing any realistic hopes of a comeback.<\/p>\n<p>Fortuna comfortably managed the closing stages, protecting their clean sheet and sealing an emphatic victory that strengthens their position in the standings.
