Samuel Eto\u2019o, president of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), has congratulated his Moroccan counterpart Fouzi Lekjaa and praised Morocco\u2019s organization of the Africa Cup of Nations following Cameroon\u2019s elimination from the tournament.<\/p>\n

The Indomitable Lions\u2019 campaign ended at the quarterfinal stage after a 0-2 defeat to Morocco on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. In a message addressed to Lekjaa, Eto\u2019o extended \u201crespectful salutations and sporting congratulations\u201d to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, emphasizing the spirit of fair play that marked the encounter.<\/p>\n

Eto\u2019o also expressed deep appreciation for what he described as the \u201cexemplary quality\u201d of the tournament\u2019s organization and the \u201cfraternal, warm and benevolent welcome\u201d accorded to the Cameroonian team, delegation, and supporters throughout their stay in Morocco.
