Cameroon second-choice goalkeeper Davis Epassy has expressed a strong zeal to continue as a key starter for the Indomitable lions in their next FIFA World Cup fixtures.<\/p>\n

The declaration was made, after the 3-3 draw between Cameroon and Serbia, on Monday, November 29, 2022, in Qatar.<\/p>\n

Davis Epassy had the following;<\/p>\n

“I knew I will be starting last night. You can ask the coach, why he dropped Onana”, Davis Epassy told the media.<\/p>\n

Regarding Onana’s reaction after knowing that he will not be starting the match against Serbia, Epassy disclosed that his teammate was very supportive.<\/p>\n

“Andre gave me support and words of encouragement before the game. I feel confident to continue in the next game”, he said.<\/p>\n

Davis was instrumental in the lions’ game, via a series of spectacular saves, that could have helped the Serbian side pick the day’s three points.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Heach Coach Rigobert Song articulated during the post-match press conference that Andre Onana is an indispensable player for Cameroon, indicating that he was ruled out of the game for disciplinary reasons.<\/p>\n

The gaffer ended by saying, he’s glad for the great competition that has surfaced between Onana and Davies.<\/p>\n
