Central African football is moving into a new era. The Executive Bureau of the Central African Football Federations Union (UNIFFAC) gathered in Brazzaville on October 28, with President Jean Guy Blaise Mayolas leading the charge toward tighter governance, bigger ambitions, and a clearer roadmap for regional competitions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The meeting wasn\u2019t just about paperwork. UNIFFAC adopted its financial and audit reports, approved its procedural manual, and reminded member federations to settle dues for 2023\u20132025 by January 2026. It\u2019s a sign that the union is serious about accountability\u2014a crucial step if Central African football wants to compete with the best on the continent.<\/p>\n

The 2025 budget got the green light with tweaks and will now go before the General Assembly for final approval. An Extraordinary General Assembly is slated for December 5, with Bangui or Brazzaville set to host, while the competition calendar has been updated to give clubs and national teams the breathing room they need for proper preparation.<\/p>\n

Off the pitch, UNIFFAC is investing in infrastructure. The Bureau called for ongoing oversight of its new headquarters, working closely with the Gabonese Order of Architects. It\u2019s not just about fancy buildings\u2014it\u2019s about creating a professional home for the region\u2019s football, one that reflects the game\u2019s growth and ambition.<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s football also got its moment. If the Democratic Republic of Congo withdraws from the Fatshi Cup, UNIFFAC plans to launch a new call for host countries. The move ensures that the women\u2019s game won\u2019t lose momentum and signals a wider commitment to gender inclusivity in Central African football.<\/p>\n

For fans and players alike, these steps are more than administrative. They promise clearer schedules, stronger competitions, and a professional framework that could help Central African teams punch above their weight on the continental stage.<\/p>\n
