Once there, he was <strong>kidnapped by the group<\/strong>, who later demanded a ransom from his family. Ghanasoccernet is reporting that the family raised cash and sent to the kidnappers but they allegedly went ahead and killed the teenager.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, <strong>Senegal\u2019s Minister of African Integration, Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad<\/strong> condemned what he called \u201ca cruel and senseless act against a young man chasing his football dream.\u201d He added that the government is <strong>working closely with Ghanaian authorities<\/strong> to uncover the truth and bring those responsible to justice.<\/p>\n<p>Two officials from <strong>Senegal\u2019s embassy in Accra<\/strong> have been dispatched to Kumasi to assist with the investigation and prepare the <strong>repatriation of Tour\u00e9\u2019s body<\/strong>, currently held at the <strong>Ebenezer Morgue in Tafo<\/strong>, Ashanti Region.<\/p>\n<p>The heartbreaking news has sparked <strong>outrage and grief across social media<\/strong>, with football lovers demanding justice for the slain youngster.<\/p>\n<p>In a video shared online, <strong>Cheikh Tour\u00e9\u2019s devastated mother<\/strong> described the pain of losing her son to \u201cpeople who took advantage of his dream.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Authorities believe the case is <strong>linked to a fraud and extortion network targeting aspiring footballers across West Africa.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The situation is becoming increasingly worrying. Another young Senegalese, <strong>identified as Momo<\/strong>, also from Yeumbeul, is <strong>currently missing in Ghana<\/strong>. According to <em>Yeumbeul TV<\/em>, he was reportedly <strong>taken by the same group<\/strong> that lured Tour\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Momo was last known to be staying at a hotel, where he was allegedly asked to pay <strong>850,000 CFA francs<\/strong>. His family has had no contact with him for four days.
