Algerian giants MC Alger have arrived in Cameroon ahead of their crucial CAF Champions League second-round clash against Colombe du Sud this Sunday, October 19.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The \u201cMouloudia\u201d delegation landed in Yaound\u00e9 on Thursday evening and will complete their final preparations at the Amadou Ahidjo Stadium, which will host Sunday\u2019s first leg.<\/p>\n

In a strange sight, each member of the playing staff of the Algerian side carried a pillow.<\/p>\n

Per experience, teams usually travel with pillows when they suspect their host could play foul on their lodging facilities.<\/p>\n

The tie could prove decisive in the race for a place in the prestigious group stage of Africa\u2019s top club competition.<\/p>\n

MC Alger, led by head coach Rulani Mokwoena<\/strong>, come into the contest on a strong run after comfortably overcoming AS Douanes of Niger<\/strong> in the previous round. The South African tactician has brought structure, intensity and a modern tactical edge to the Algerian side, who are among the favourites to progress.\"\"<\/p>\n

Their opponents, Colombe du Sud<\/strong>, guided by Richard Towa<\/strong>, are enjoying a remarkable continental campaign. The Cameroonian club impressed in the earlier rounds with their solid defensive organisation, anchored by goalkeeper Edouard Sombang<\/strong>, who has kept two clean sheets in as many games.<\/p>\n

Captain Randy Kwalar<\/strong>, scorer against Senegal\u2019s Jaraaf<\/strong>, will once again be central to Colombe\u2019s attacking hopes. Towa has urged his players to stay composed and clinical as they chase a historic group-stage qualification \u2014 a feat achieved by only two Cameroonian clubs in the past decade.<\/p>\n

While MC Alger boast experience and depth, they will be wary of Colombe\u2019s energy and home support in Yaound\u00e9.<\/p>\n
