{"id":24490,"date":"2025-10-10T04:57:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-10T04:57:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/?p=24490"},"modified":"2025-10-10T04:57:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-10T04:57:12","slug":"sudan-fa-official-banned-for-assaulting-referee-after-world-cup-qualifier","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/fr\/sudan-fa-official-banned-for-assaulting-referee-after-world-cup-qualifier\/","title":{"rendered":"Sudan FA official banned for assaulting referee after World Cup qualifier"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Angu Lesley\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Football Writer,kick442.com-Cameroon<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The Sudan Football Association\u2019s vice\u2011president, <strong>Yasser Nasreddin Hamza Al\u2011Samani<\/strong>, has been suspended for <strong>15 competitive matches<\/strong> by FIFA, after physically assaulting a match official at a 2026 World Cup qualifying game, the governing body has announced.<\/p>\n<p>The incident occurred <strong>after Sudan\u2019s 1\u20110 defeat to Togo in Lom\u00e9<\/strong> in September, a result that dealt a fatal blow to Sudan\u2019s hopes of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate but related punishment, <strong>Ignatius Osei\u2011Fosu<\/strong>, Sudan\u2019s assistant coach, has also been suspended for <strong>three matches<\/strong> for what FIFA described as \u201cunsporting behaviour towards a match official.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Both men have been fined <strong>5,000 Swiss francs<\/strong> (around <strong>US$6,200<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, the referees in the match were from Madagascar.<\/p>\n<p>This ruling is one of FIFA\u2019s more serious disciplinary measures this qualifying cycle, signalling zero tolerance for physical confrontations involving match officials.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Copyright\u00a92025 kick442.com-Cameroon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>All rights reserved.
