Egyptian giants Al Ahly SC have confirmed the appointment of Jess Thorup as their new head coach on a two-and-a-half-year deal reportedly worth around USD 8.5 million.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 55-year-old Dane, who succeeds the outgoing technical team, will earn USD 3.2 million annually<\/strong>, making it one of the most lucrative coaching contracts ever involving a Danish manager<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
