{"id":22858,"date":"2025-07-29T21:43:31","date_gmt":"2025-07-29T21:43:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/?p=22858"},"modified":"2025-07-29T21:43:31","modified_gmt":"2025-07-29T21:43:31","slug":"cameroon-caf-confederation-cup-bound-aigle-hire-wome-nlend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/fr\/cameroon-caf-confederation-cup-bound-aigle-hire-wome-nlend\/","title":{"rendered":"Cameroon: CAF Confederation Cup bound Aigle hire Wome Nlend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Former Canon Yaounde and Inter Milan defender, Pierre Wome Nlend has been appointed Sporting Director of newly-promoted and Confederation Cup bound Aigle Royal of Menoua for the coming season.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reports of the appointment of the 47-year-old first hit social media this Tuesday, July 29, marking his return to domestic football five years after he led Canon Yaounde.<\/p>\n<p>The globetrotter that played for 14 clubs in six different countries is expected to bring all his expertise to the table and add value to the rebranded Aigle Royal of Menoua project.<\/p>\n<p>Aigle recently secured promotion to the MTN Elite One championship and are preparing for their return to the continental scene for the first time since 2008, thus making the arrival of Wome really timely.<\/p>\n<p>Though the club is yet to announce the move, we have gathered that the man who won 69 caps for Cameroon and won two Africa Cup of Nations titles and an Olympic Gold medal has been tasked to restructure especially the sporting side of the club.<\/p>\n<p>Aigle will know their CAF Confederation Cup opponent on August 12 after the draw in Dar Es Salaam.
