{"id":22481,"date":"2025-06-20T07:35:39","date_gmt":"2025-06-20T07:35:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/?p=22481"},"modified":"2025-06-20T07:35:39","modified_gmt":"2025-06-20T07:35:39","slug":"revealed-fecafoot-paying-long-awaited-referees-due","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/fr\/revealed-fecafoot-paying-long-awaited-referees-due\/","title":{"rendered":"Revealed: FECAFOOT paying long-awaited Referees&#8217; due"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Angu Lesley<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Football Writer,kick442.com-Cameroon<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Samuel Etoo has disbursed 80 Millions FCFA for payment of Referees who are owed over 300 Millions FCFA for the past four seasons<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>The payments have gone operational for Referees that played MTN Elite One and Two matches at the start of the season<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>FECAFOOT is expected to make the entire payment to enhance better officiating across the country<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has begun the paying of dues owed top-flight and second tier match Referees in the past four years.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Information reaching our editorial team has it that president Samuel Etoo Fils has ordered the FECAFOOT finance department to allocate the sum of 80M FCFA for the payments of the approximately 300M FCFA owed match officials and that has entered application already.<\/p>\n<p>A number of Referees the kick442.com has spoken to confirmed those who played the first round of the championship have begun receiving cash though not in its entirety and without description.<\/p>\n<p>The situation is a welcome development as the Referees plight of playing without pay in the past three seasons has affected both their output and lifestyle, reducing some to match fixers and corrupt practices.<\/p>\n<p>Per the Cameroon Association of Football Referees (ACAF) release of two months ago, unpaid allowances totaling approximately 300 million CFA francs (roughly $500,000) represents the accumulated debts of FECAFOOT to match officials in the past four seasons, including the ongoing 2024\u20132025 campaign.
