{"id":22211,"date":"2025-04-17T12:45:56","date_gmt":"2025-04-17T12:45:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/?p=22211"},"modified":"2025-04-17T12:45:56","modified_gmt":"2025-04-17T12:45:56","slug":"referees-ultimatum-300-million-fcfa-debt-threatens-fecafoot-competitions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/fr\/referees-ultimatum-300-million-fcfa-debt-threatens-fecafoot-competitions\/","title":{"rendered":"Referees&#8217; Ultimatum: 300 Million FCFA Debt Threatens FECAFOOT Competitions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Nfor Tracy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Journalist,kick442.com-Cameroon<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Cameroon football referees have demanded 300 million FCFA from Fecafoot due to non-payment of their allowances for the past seasons<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>\u00a0They have threatened to suspend their activities if immediate action is not taken<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>This demand comes shortly after Bamboutos FC withdrew from the Elite One Championship<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot) is facing a crisis after referees demanded payment of 300 million FCFA in unpaid allowances shortly after Bamboutos FC resign from the Elite one championship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>According to a letter addressed to the Fecafoot president, the referees have threatened to suspend their participation in the 2024-2025 competitions starting on the 21 of April 2025, if the debt is not settled.<\/p>\n<p>The referees expressed their commitment to developing Cameroonian sports and willingness to collaborate with Fecafoot, but emphasized that payment of the debt is a prerequisite for their continued participation.<\/p>\n<p>The referees&#8217; demands are centered around 300 million FCFA in unpaid allowances spanning multiple seasons (2021-2022, 2022-2023, 2023-2024, and the current season).<\/p>\n<p>The situation highlights the challenges faced by sports organizations in managing finances and ensuring timely payments to officials.<\/p>\n<p>This issue extends to Bamboutos FC, which currently faces a similar problem that apparently led to their withdrawal from the Elite One Championship, citing financial constraints and unpaid bonuses owed to them by Fecafoot.<\/p>\n<p>Could it be that FECAFOOT&#8217;s role is not sufficient enough to satisfy the needs of Cameroonian football, leaving both referees and clubs struggling with financial uncertainty?
