Emedie Damaris emerged as a force to be reckoned with, recording a double-double of 19 points and 24 rebounds in just 33 minutes of action.<\/p>\n<p>The game tipped off with Cameroon asserting their dominance, as Keyla Kipo and Marwina Williams connected on back-to-back buckets to build an early cushion. Uganda responded with a run of their own, narrowing the deficit before briefly taking the lead. Damaris stepped up big for Cameroon, draining a clutch jumper just before the first-quarter buzzer to give her team a 15-13 advantage.<\/p>\n<p>In the second period, Damaris continued to make her presence felt, converting a pair of layups to keep Cameroon in the driver&#8217;s seat.
