{"id":19888,"date":"2024-09-06T06:49:39","date_gmt":"2024-09-06T06:49:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/?p=19888"},"modified":"2024-09-06T08:50:23","modified_gmt":"2024-09-06T08:50:23","slug":"chan-2024-to-be-held-in-february-2025-across-east-africa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/fr\/chan-2024-to-be-held-in-february-2025-across-east-africa\/","title":{"rendered":"CHAN 2024 to Be Held in February 2025 Across East Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><em><strong>The 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) will be co-hosted by Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania from February 1 to 28, 2025<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>FUFA EXCOM member Rogers Byamukama confirmed the dates during the unveiling of the Uganda Cranes&#8217; new kit<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>This tournament will serve as preparation for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, with 18 teams participating for the second time<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The 2024 edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN), to be co-hosted by Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania, is scheduled to take place from February 1 to February 28, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rogers Byamukama, a member of the FUFA Executive Committee, confirmed these dates during the unveiling of the new Uganda Cranes kit on Thursday, September 5, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe information we have is that CHAN will occur from February 1 to February 28, 2025, and the three East African PAMOJA countries will be authorized to host,\u201d Byamukama stated.<\/p>\n<p>This East African trio received hosting rights in September and will use this biennial competition as preparation for the hosting of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.<\/p>\n<p>The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has conducted inspections of the infrastructure in these countries in the lead-up to the tournament. The schedule for the qualifiers is expected to be announced soon.<\/p>\n<p>The 2024 CHAN tournament marks its eighth edition, featuring 18 participants for the second time. This tournament is dedicated to players competing in their home country&#8217;s local leagues, with potential inclusion of players from leagues across Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Senegal are the defending champions, while Morocco and the Democratic Republic of Congo are the most successful teams, each with two titles.<\/p>\n<p>Cameroon, who suffered a group stage exit in the last edition in Algeria, has participated in five of the last seven tournaments, achieving a best finish of fourth in 2021.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Copyright\u00a92024 kick442.com-Cameroon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>All rights reserved.
