{"id":19629,"date":"2024-08-26T09:59:31","date_gmt":"2024-08-26T09:59:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/?p=19629"},"modified":"2024-08-28T03:44:02","modified_gmt":"2024-08-28T03:44:02","slug":"lekie-fc-embark-in-tormenting-journey-after-caf-champions-league-expedition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/fr\/lekie-fc-embark-in-tormenting-journey-after-caf-champions-league-expedition\/","title":{"rendered":"Lekie FC embark in tormenting journey after CAF Champions League expedition"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Lekie Filles FC will travel to Cameroon from DR Congo by road after their CAF Champions League tournament in Kinshasa<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>The club is traveling via this option as they can&#8217;t raised sufficient funds to buy air tickets for the trip<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>They wrote to FECAFOOT and asked them to pay them part of the over 20 millions they are being owed to facilitate tickets purchase but the request was ignored<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2023 Cameroon Women&#8217;s top-flight football championship champions Lekie Filles FC of Yaound\u00e9 are currently on a road journey to Cameroon after finishing second in the Union of Central African Football Federation (UNIFFAC) zonal tournament in Kinshasa, DR Congo.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lekie Filles missed out on zonal glory after their disappointing draw which handed TP Mazembe Ladies the pride of champions and right to represent the zone in the continental event scheduled for the weeks ahead.<\/p>\n<p>As if the disappointment of losing is not enough, we are now learning coach Stephane Ndzana&#8217;s team is traveling by water and road to return home.<\/p>\n<p>The strange travel option for a football team was adopted as a last resort after they failed to secure funding internally or convince the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) to pay their dues for winning the championship two years ago which could have facilitated travel by air for the entire team.<\/p>\n<p>We understand the Moumazim Brigitte and mates left Kinshasa to Brazzaville on Sunday via a boat and arrived Brazaville, where they passed the night.<\/p>\n<p>The team is expected to get a bus Brazzaville today in Brazzaville and travel to Ntam from which they will travel to Cameroon all of this Monday and Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>They are expected to arrive their base in Yaound\u00e9, Cameroon on Wednesday, which will mark the end of the tiring journey.<\/p>\n<p>Lekie&#8217;s efforts this year has been commendable.
