The intermediate lions of Cameroon, have beaten their Sudanese counterparts two_nil, in their last friendly game ahead of the kick-off of CHAN 2022 in Algeria.<\/p>\n
Goals in either halves from Roche Foning and Avom Ebong, were enough to secure Victory for the intermediate lions in their last warm up game in Tunisia.<\/p>\n
Coach Alioum Saidou lined up what could probably be his starting XI when his side face Congo Brazzaville in their group opener on January 16, with Mbahbi at goal, a solid defense line of Yves Alain Moukoko, Che Malone, Thomas Etta Bawak and
\nIbrahim Saidou. Kaiba Djawal, Louis Mbah and Beo Batto started in a midfield trio, with Ngom Mbekeli, Harrison Djonkep and Roche Foning leading the attack.<\/p>\n
Cameroon dominated the opening half an hour, and deservedly took the lead at the 35th minute, when Union of Douala’s forward Roche Foning, pounce on an error from the Sudanese goalkeeper, to put the intermediate lions in front.<\/p>\n
Alioum lined up a completely changed team in the second half, with the exception of goalkeeper Mbahbi. Youssoupha Houzaifi captained the team for the remainder of the game, as the lions increased tally at the 69 minutes through Avom Ebong, to put Cameroon two goals up.<\/p>\n
A 2#0 score line, sanctioned the game, as Alioum Saidou’s side pick up their first win in three friendly games played in Tunisia. Prior to Monday’s game, the intermediate lions had played two one_all draws against Uganda and Ivory Coast.<\/p>\n
In total, Cameroon has played five pre_CHAN friendly games, recording two wins and three draws. Their only win before that against Sudan, was a 2#1 win over Canon of Yaounde. It was also the first time the team has kept a clean sheet, in their five friendlies.<\/p>\n
