DC Power have completed the signing of exciting Cameroonian midfielder Jeannette Grace Ngock Yango on a one-year-contract.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The experienced Cameroon international joins the club from French top-flight championship outfit Guingamp where she spent the last two seasons.<\/p>\n

“Welcome to Power FC Grace Ngock Yango, Claire Constant, and Morgan Aquino!,” the club wrote on their social media handle as they announced 15 new players ahead of their maiden campaign in the USA Super League (USL).<\/p>\n

Yango who previously played for Cameroonian, German, Polish and mostly French clubs will start a new life in the USA with her new employers.<\/p>\n

“We continue to add important pieces to the roster, and we\u2019re excited to welcome Grace [Ngock Yango], Claire [Constant], and Morgan [Aquino] to the team,\u201d Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Brillant. Grace will be a veteran presence on this team and her experience at both the club and international level will be invaluable to our roster,” Power FC Head Coach, said.<\/p>\n

Yango, 31, has made 41 appearances for Cameroon via featuring at three Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (AWCON) and two FIFA World Cup tournaments amongst others for her country – A situation which makes the former Marseille and Fleury 91 midfielder some sort of heartbeat to power the DC project.<\/p>\n

With close to 15 years of international football experience, Yango will be the guide for her team mates as explained by the president.<\/p>\n

“We anticipate Grace, Claire and Morgan each to bring a top-class competitive edge into the Super League with their International experience at the highest levels. Grace and Claire both possess tremendous technical ability and extremely high work rate to lead the transition from defense to the attack as part of the spine of our team. Morgan is one of the brightest young Goalkeeper talents in the world \u2013 in both shot stopping and on-the-ball skills \u2013 and will join veteran Addy [Gay] in a major position of strength for our roster,”President Jordan Stuart, added.<\/p>\n

The midfielder has a distinguished 12-year professional career that started in Cameroon before joining \u017dFK Spartak Subotica in Serbia in 2012.<\/p>\n

After making her professional debut in Serbia, she joined FC Kattowitz in Germany the following season.<\/p>\n

She later moved to FFC Turbine Potsdam in Germany before switching to France via FF Yzeure. Yango would later join Guingamp in 2019 spent the best part of her career in France before moving to USA now.<\/p>\n

The inaugural Super League season kicks off on August 17, 2024, and will run through Spring 2025, inclusive of a Winter Break hiatus, with the Power FC home opener at Audi Field scheduled for September 13 against Fort Lauderdale United FC.<\/p>\n
