The final score was 72-59, with the host nation proving too strong for the Indomitable Lions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Despite their impressive run, which included a stunning upset over Brazil in the previous round, Cameroon was unable to replicate that magic against a determined Latvian squad. The game was a closely contested affair, with both teams showcasing their defensive prowess and athleticism.<\/p>\n<p>The key difference-maker was Latvia&#8217;s veteran leadership and experience. Players like Davis Bertans and Rodions Kurucs stepped up when it mattered most, combining for 32 points and 15 rebounds to lead their team to victory.<\/p>\n<p>Cameroon&#8217;s Jeremiah Hill, who had been a standout performer throughout the tournament, was held in check by the Latvian defense, finishing with just 12 points. The future is bright for Cameroon basketball.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Right away it&#8217;s very disappointing. We really believed we could go all the way. But we&#8217;re proud of what we&#8217;ve done, and what we could achieve.&#8221; Cameroon forward, Roger Moute A Bidias reacted<\/p>\n<p>With their semi-final defeat, Cameroon&#8217;s dreams of making their first-ever Olympic appearance have been dashed. However, the team can take solace in the fact that they have made significant strides in their development and have proven that they can compete at the highest level.<\/p>\n<p>Latvia, on the other hand, will now advance to the final, where they will face Brazil, who defeated the Philippines in the other semi-final matchup.
