Dynamo of Douala are without a Marketing and Commissions counselor. This became the situation from this Wednesday, July 3 after Rene Ekounga aka Arafat who has occupied the position in the last two seasons announced he is stepping down from the role.<\/p>\n
The announcement came as a surprise to many who know Ekounga as a key part of the Alphonse Bea projet at Dynamo of Douala.<\/p>\n
“Greetings everyone, it’s with regret that I announce to you all that am stepping down from my position as the technical communications and marketing consultant of the actual executives of Dynamo of Douala.”<\/p>\n
He further explained that he has been pushed by personal and professional reasons to quit the role while thanking all he has worked with.<\/p>\n
The Dynamic Sports Reporter who represents Canal+ in Cameroon played a crucial role in his time with their administration – helping the club secure a partnership with the his employer whose name sometimes featured as their chest sponsors.<\/p>\n
Dynamo’s energetic start to 2023\/24 season upon their return to the top-flight championship finalized poorly as the club endured a disappointing playoffs campaign, only winning one of their seven matches.<\/p>\n
We understand the disappointment of that, plus other internal challenges adn his work schedule may have pushed Rene Ekounga to settle for life without a direct role at the club.<\/p>\n
He becomes the second key member of last season to leave – he follows the steps of head coach Yves Clement Arroga who departed after the uninspiring playoff championship in Douala.<\/p>\n
While waiting for a replacement for Ekounga Dynamo are currently the mm market for new players ahead of the new season expected to begin in October 2024.<\/p>\n
