Having reached the final of the oldest football competition in Nigeria, the President Federation Cup, formerly known as the FA Cup, Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia say they are ready to lock horns with former winners, El-Kanemi Warriors Football Club of Maiduguri.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The players are in high spirit and the prospect of lifting their first major silverware is their only target at the moment.<\/p>\n

The feeling has been great for the players and officials, and the mood in the camp has been that of optimism.<\/p>\n

The Head Coach, Bethel Oji and some playing staff shared their thoughts with the club’s media.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m very happy to be in the final of a major tournament as a coach. My joy will be fulfilled if we win the trophy as a team.\u201d — Coach Bethel Oji<\/p>\n

“Nothing less than the continental ticket, because all of us know what is at stake so, we can’t afford to lose this game.’ — Samson Obi<\/p>\n

“It’s an incredible feeling, and we’re so proud of our team’s hard work and determination.<\/p>\n

“We’re not just playing for ourselves, but for our fans, our community, and everyone who has supported us along the way.<\/p>\n

“We’re ready to give it our all and bring home the cup.<\/p>\n

“To the amazing Warriors fans, we hear you loud and clear! Your unwavering support and energy have driven us to this historic moment. We feel your passion and dedication, and we’re honored to represent you on the pitch.<\/p>\n

The match comes up tomorrow, Saturday, 29th June 2024, by 4pm, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos.<\/p>\n
