To effectively prosecute the NWFL Premiership next season, NWFL Premiership side Bayelsa Queens FC, have started scouting for quality players to beef the team.<\/p>\n
The club stated that the signing of players already penciled down by the club would commence in earnest.<\/p>\n
Chairman of the club, Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala, disclosed this in Yenagoa, yesterday 24 June, 2024, that the search for quality players to prosecute the NWFL Premiership, which will begin in November this year, has taken the club far beyond the South-South shores.<\/p>\n
He stated that Bayelsa Queens would participate in the competition with the aim of winning, stressing that their record in the NWFL Premiership so far has been encouraging.<\/p>\n
He said \u201cWe are in the NWFL Premiership. What it means is that we must plan. We must look at the financial criteria, we must look at the technical aspect, the infrastructure among others. We have started our scouting review. We have gone round to get players that will beef up the team we have for next season NWFL Premiership\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are going to do our best to make Bayelsa State proud. We have played in the NWFL Premiership for a long time and we have maintained good records. We will compete and not participate next season and with the quality of players we have and the ones we will sign, we will make the State very proud\u201d, Pastor Apreala added.<\/p>\n
Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala, the soft spoken sports administrator also thanked Governor Douye Diri and his deputy Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, the Commissioner for sports Chief Baraladei Daniel Igali and the Permanent Secretary Mrs Grace Alagoa, for the financial commitment, encouragement and support that has helped the club to do well.<\/p>\n
