Struggling to repay these loans, he now faces the prospect of losing his prized properties.<\/p>\n<p>An anonymous auctioneer estimates that the value of one of these properties falls within the range of $20 million to $30 million, underscoring the high stakes involved.<\/p>\n<p>The Ghanaian midfielder, is an iconic figure in African football. His journey began at Liberty Professionals in Ghana before he made a significant move to France, joining SC Bastia and later Olympique Lyonnais (Lyon).<\/p>\n<p>Essien&#8217;s versatility and defensive prowess caught the eye of Chelsea, where he became a key player.
