The team is part actively participating in the littoral regional league, having qualified for the next Round of the cup of Cameroon<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Chatue Nitcheu Josu\u00e9, the general president of the littoral regional side Botafogo FC, has been suspended from all football-related activities by the Littoral Regional League<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This decision, communicated in a statement signed by Robert Mbekek, will remain in effect until the Fecafoot (Cameroon Football Federation) Ethics Commission has ruled on the case.<\/p>\n<p>The suspension comes after a video was shared on social media, allegedly implicating Josu\u00e9 in sexual activities with his players. The football community in the Littoral region has strongly condemned these allegations, with reports suggesting that Josu\u00e9 is accused of being a sexual predator who forces his players to engage in anal sex in exchange for sporting benefits.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, this is not the first time such allegations of sexual assault by club presidents and coaches have surfaced in Cameroonian football. In the past, a certain Capelo, who is now deceased, was accused of sexually assaulting underage boys in his academy back in the west region.<\/p>\n<p>The multiplication of football academies and clubs across the country has raised concerns about the potential for similar abuses occurring behind closed doors. Football stakeholders have vocally condemned these acts and are demanding rigorous measures to be taken against perpetrators.<\/p>\n<p>The suspension of Chatue Nitcheu Josu\u00e9 is a necessary step in addressing these serious allegations. However, it is clear that more needs to be done to ensure the safety and well-being of players, particularly young athletes, within the football ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>Comprehensive policies, robust reporting mechanisms, and swift disciplinary actions must be implemented to prevent such abuses from occurring and to hold those responsible accountable. The FECAFOOT Ethics Commission must thoroughly investigate this case and ensure that justice is served.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, there is a pressing need for greater awareness, education, and support systems to protect players from sexual exploitation and abuse.
