Red Star with 62 points and a 12 points gap with only three games left for their rivals are thus assured of winning the championship a week after achieving promotion to the French Ligue 2 championship.<\/p>\n<p>The new champions will meet their fans for the first time since becoming champions on Monday when they step out to face Nimes in a delayed match day 31 fixture but their homecoming will be against Versailles FC on May 3.<\/p>\n<p>Red Star won 18 of their 30 matches this season.
