{"id":16494,"date":"2024-04-15T04:29:34","date_gmt":"2024-04-15T04:29:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/?p=16494"},"modified":"2024-04-15T04:29:34","modified_gmt":"2024-04-15T04:29:34","slug":"cameroon-fifa-issues-transfer-ban-on-eding-sport","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/fr\/cameroon-fifa-issues-transfer-ban-on-eding-sport\/","title":{"rendered":"Cameroon: FIFA issues transfer ban on Eding Sport"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong><em>FIFA imposed an indefinite ban on the club on Friday, citing failure to meet its financial obligations with Ivorian footballer Drissa Diarrasouba<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Eding Sport can&#8217;t add to its current squad of players before the start of the 2024\/25 MTN Elite Two season<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>The club had been given a deadline to pay the 29-year-old former C\u00f4te D&#8217;Ivoire U-17 international but they didn&#8217;t respect that, leaving FIFA with no option than banning them<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The World football governing body, FIFA has banned Eding Sport de la Lekie from registering players and informed the Cameroon football federation (FECAFOOT) accordingly.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Cameroon second tier outfit has been found guilty of non-payment of the salary of Ivorian player Drissa Diarrasouba who played for them a few years back.<\/p>\n<p>A release from FIFA to FECAFOOT this April 12 confirmed Eding can&#8217;t sign players internationally and can&#8217;t register new players till the situation with the former Stoke City reserves forward is resolved.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We refer to the above-mentioned matter and acknowledge receipt of the attached correspondence for the parties perusal.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In this regard, we wish to inform the parties that a ban from registering new players intentionally has been implemented by FIFA as of today.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The release further gave further directives to FECAFOOT as part of efforts to coerced Eding to pay.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Moreover, and in accordance with the afforementioned, correspondence member association is requested to immediately implement on the respondent the club Eding Sport de la Lekie a ban from registering new players at national level,&#8221;
