His managerial journey also took him to clubs like KV Mechelen, Al-Faisaly FC, and OH Leuven<\/p>\n<p>Brys is set to bring a wealth of experience from his recent tenure at OH Louvain in Belgium&#8217;s top division. His appointment by the Ministry of Sports is seen as a strategic move to bolster the team&#8217;s performance on the international stage.<\/p>\n<p>Joining Brys are several key figures from the previous coaching regime, signaling a blend of continuity and new direction. Fran\u00e7ois Omam-Biyik steps in as the first Assistant Coach, with Ashu Bessong as the second Assistant Coach .<\/p>\n<p>The managerial team is rounded out by Danny Nounkeu as Team Manager, Christophe Manouvrier as Physical Trainer, Alioum Boukar handling the goalkeepers, and Germain No\u00ebl Essengue overseeing press relations.<\/p>\n<p>In a parallel administrative shift, Benjamin Banlock, formerly the Secretary-General of Fecafoot and known for his strained relationship with Samuel Eto&#8217;o, has been appointed as the new coordinator of the national selections.<\/p>\n<p>The sweeping changes comes in the wake of the non renewal of the contracts of the former staff, a decision driven by the need for a fresh approach to leadership and tactics.<\/p>\n<p>Brys and his new staff&#8217;s immediate task will be Angola and Cape Verde in the world cup qualifiers in June.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Insides about new Indomitable Lions staff:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>His first deputy is Francois Omam Biyik<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The former Cameroon international now aged 57, is back in the national team after a first stint between 2010-2011 and recently as deputy to Antonio Conceicao between 2019 &amp; 2022.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s a coach who has a strong bond with the players.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The second deputy is Cyprian Ashu Besong.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aged 54, Ashu Besong has previously coached at Leicester &amp; was an assistant to Sven Goran.<\/p>\n<p>He coached Cameroon&#8217;s U20 before going to lead South Sudan.
