The organisers of the Dynasty Scouting League yesterday announced the date for the 2024 season one of the leagues.<\/p>\n
The announcement was made to the general public via the league’s official X and IG handles (@dsl_nig).<\/p>\n
DSL is played in two seasons annually to target the summer (season 1) and the winter (season 2). European transfer windows.<\/p>\n
The 2024 season will commence from Wednesday, March 13th, to Thursday, June 13th, 2024, and all games will be played at the main bowl of the Dipo Dino International Stadium in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.<\/p>\n
Unlike the 2023 seasons one and two when eight (8) and ten (10) top grassroots teams participated, respectively. The 2024 DSL season one will have fourteen (14) clubs, mostly from Lagos State and Ogun State.<\/p>\n
In a chat with Mr. Godwin Nse, one of the co-founders of Dynasty Sports Limited, the organiser of the Dynasty Scouting League, he wasted no time in telling us the main purpose of the league. According to him, the idea behind the league is to expose young players under the age of twenty to top European football agencies, directors of clubs, and scouts who will be watching live from their comfort zones as all 91 games will be streamed live.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter the first year, some top grassroots teams contacted us indicating interest in being part of the project. That is why we decided to increase the number of teams from 10 to 14 teams, and this time around fans will have the opportunity to watch games on Wednesdays and Thursdays instead of only Thursdays.\u201d<\/p>\n
When asked if the league needs sponsors, he has this to say: “Yes, of course, even the EPL needs more sponsors. We have good dreams for the league, and we need support from individuals and cooperative organisations to achieve most of these dreams and good plans for the league.” We want to use this opportunity to seek sponsorship for this project; our league is a big brand.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kakawa Football Club is the defending champions of the league.<\/p>\n
Registration for DSL 2024 season one is on until the last day of February 2024.<\/p>\n
