<\/p>\nThe Transitional Council in charge of Professional football in Cameroon known by it’s french acronym as CTFP, says investigations have been opened regarding alleged match fixing scandals in some MTN Elite Two matches.<\/p>\n
According to a communique signed by the Secretary General of CTFP Faustin Blaise Mbida, the match Renaissance of Ngoumou versus Aigle of Moungo and Foncha Street FC vs Racing of Bafoussam are the two matches under investigations.<\/p>\n

“The CTFP have noted with regret that the match Renaissance of Ngoumou versus Aigle of Moungo and Foncha Street FC vs Racing of Bafoussam counting for the 13th and 14th day respectively, took place in an atmosphere against the ethics of sports”, a statement from CTFP read.<\/p>\n
According to the communique, the reports from the various match officials have already confirmed the allegations and further investigations have opened and the results may forced the CTFP to take the matter to the disciplinary and ethics committee of the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT.<\/p>\n
It should be noted that in the matchday 13 encounter between Renaissance of Ngoumou versus Aigle of Moungo, Aigle was leading 4#0 at half time and by the blast of the final whistle, Renaissance of Ngoumou won by 5 goals to 4.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday January 10, 2024, in the matchday 14 encounter between Foncha Street FC and Racing of Bafoussam, they were widespread condemnation from those who turned out to watch the match. At half time, the referee threaten to stopped the encounter should the teams continue. The exact scores of the match also circulated on the social media prior to the match.<\/p>\n
Should these teams be found guilty of match fixing, then the club officials and the teams will suffer from the sledgehammer of the law.<\/p>\n
