Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies have been voted as the Best Women’s Football club in Africa for 2023.<\/p>\n

The record South African champions that won its second CAF Champions League this season edged Sporting Casablanca and AS FAR of Morocco to bag the award for the second time.<\/p>\n

Coach Jerry Tshabalala’s hit new heights in the past 12 months, winning an unprecedented treble.<\/p>\n

The club’s activities on the pitch and off it made it an easy decision for the jury that included ex footballers, journalists, coaches and more.<\/p>\n

Upon receiving the trophy, coach Tshabalala thanked his players, the club’s management and their opponents over the period of consideration while calling on CAF to do more for women’s Football.<\/p>\n

Sundowns was complemented by Al Ahly SC of Egypt that scooped the men’s award ahead of Mamelodi Sundowns men’s team and 2023 CAF Champions League runners-up Wydad Casablanca.<\/p>\n
