{"id":13328,"date":"2023-11-28T18:08:28","date_gmt":"2023-11-28T18:08:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/?p=13328"},"modified":"2023-11-28T18:08:28","modified_gmt":"2023-11-28T18:08:28","slug":"michaela-abam-leaves-linkoping-on-mutual-agreement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/fr\/michaela-abam-leaves-linkoping-on-mutual-agreement\/","title":{"rendered":"Michaela Abam leaves Link\u00f6ping on mutual agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Abam has left the Swedish giants less than six months after linking up from Houston Dash<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Things never fell in place for Abam and Link\u00f6ping<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>The US-born Cameroon international is a free agent and can join any club of her choice<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Cameroonian forward Michaela-Batya Bisi Abam has left Swedish women&#8217;s top-flight side Link\u00f6ping football club after reaching an agreement to terminate her contract less than a year after joining the club.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 26-year-old former Sky Blue FC, Paris FC and Real Betis forward joined the Swedish giants in April this year from Houston Dash after agreeing a two-year contract.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, the US born-Camerooonian couldn&#8217;t see-out the contract per her confirmation via a social media outing this Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My time at Link\u00f6ping has been short but nonetheless I am grateful for the experience,&#8221; Abam stated, before showering praises on her club collaborators during her time in Sweden.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The culture and support that lies within the group of women I had the privilege of sharing the pitch with is truly special and something I will cherish,&#8221; the forward that made 95 appearances for The West Virginia Mountaineers in a five-year stint added.<\/p>\n<p>Abam made nine appearances for the Swedish club and never hit the ground running, thus explaining her unceremonious exit.<\/p>\n<p>Her departure from the Swedish club leaves her as a free agent, opened to new opportunities from other employers.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s only a matter of time before the Texas-born forward finds a new club as both her status as a Cameroon international, her knowhow and her experience is just what any ambitious club will go for.<\/p>\n<p>In the international scene, Abam was a part of the Cameroon squad at the 2019 FIFA World Cup in France plus the 2018 and 2022 Women&#8217;s Africa Cup of Nations (AWCON) in Ghana and Morocco respectively.<\/p>\n<p>She has scored six goals in 19 caps for the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon, dating back from her debut against C\u00f4te D&#8217;Ivoire in the build up to the 2018 AWCON.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Copyright\u00a92023 kick442.com-Cameroon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>All rights reserved.
