Simba SC have appointed 60-year-old Abdelhak Benchikha as their head coach on a two-year contract.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Tanzanian club that employs sensational Cameroonian defender, Che Malone Fondoh Junior made the announcement on Friday after reaching an agreement to secure the release of the trainer from USM Algier with whom he won the CAF Confederation Cup and Super League last season.<\/p>\n

The former Al-Ittihad SC of Tripoli and Mohgreb Tetouane manager will replace Spanish Brazilian, Robertino sacked less than two weeks ago after a heavy defeat against eternal rivals Yanga SC.<\/p>\n

Abdelhak, former RS Berkane and ES Setif manager is expected to guide the Nguvu Moja to continental success as he did in his previous job.<\/p>\n

Coach Benchikha is expected to watch Che and co from the stands this weekend when they host ASEC Memosas in the opening group stage game of the 2923\/24 CAF Champions League.<\/p>\n

However, the 2023 CAF coach of the year nominee is expected to get to work after the game and start instilling his values as he did during his time at IR Tanger, double stint at Club Africain and Raja Casablanca among others.<\/p>\n

Simba SC are still in the running for the domestic title which he could win and become of the rare trainers to achieve the feat in Algeria and Tunisia.<\/p>\n

He can also aim to win the domestic cup as he did for the Throne Cup in Morocco.<\/p>\n
