{"id":12273,"date":"2023-10-22T17:08:49","date_gmt":"2023-10-22T17:08:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/?p=12273"},"modified":"2023-10-22T17:08:49","modified_gmt":"2023-10-22T17:08:49","slug":"gabriel-mballa-fires-colombe-to-a-first-mtn-elite-one-win-in-295-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/fr\/gabriel-mballa-fires-colombe-to-a-first-mtn-elite-one-win-in-295-days\/","title":{"rendered":"Gabriel Mballa fires Colombe to a first MTN Elite One win in 295 days"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Colombe have won for the first time in 2023<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Eze Omgba and Gabriel Mballa cancelled the advantage Kooh Jules Armand had given Astres<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>The win is Colombe&#8217;s first in 2023 and Astres&#8217; second defeat of the season<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Colombe of Dja and Lobo came from behind to beat Astres 2-1 this Sunday at the Olembe Annex stadium, thus earning a first MTN Elite One victory in 15 games &#8211; their first since the start of 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gabriel Mballa sealed the win as the boys of coach Ndongo Emma came from behind to hand Astres only their second defeat in a strong start to the 2023\/24 season.<\/p>\n<p>Les Astres on a run of a win and a draw in the past two games were hoping to build on the 2-1 win against Canon Yaound\u00e9 last time out going into the fixture.<\/p>\n<p>Jules Armand Kooh put the visitors ahead when he converted a 32nd minute penalty to put coach Agbor Ernest&#8217;s side ahead for the third time in five games this season.<\/p>\n<p>The South Region outfit pushed to get their way back into the contest, creating a number of chances but in as many ocassions their incursions were stopped by the resolute Astres defending.<\/p>\n<p>However, Colombe took their second-half chances, benefiting from a number of defensive blunders to turn things around in the second segment.<\/p>\n<p>Eze Omgba equalized 10 minutes upon resumption before Gabriel Mballa added the second around the hour mark to make it 2-1.<\/p>\n<p>The visitors came close to the equalizer on a number of occasions in the closing moments of the game but it wasn&#8217;t to be as Colombe held on to win for the first time since their 3-1 victory against Canon December 31, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Colombe like the rest of the clubs will observe a short break before the resumption of the championship on November 5 with the Southerners to face AS Fortuna on that day.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Copyright\u00a92023 kick442.com-Cameroon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>All rights reserved.
