{"id":11849,"date":"2023-10-11T13:53:43","date_gmt":"2023-10-11T13:53:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/?p=11849"},"modified":"2023-10-11T13:53:43","modified_gmt":"2023-10-11T13:53:43","slug":"akon-to-host-afcon-2023-finals-draw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/fr\/akon-to-host-afcon-2023-finals-draw\/","title":{"rendered":"Akon to host AFCON 2023 Finals Draw"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Global music star, AKON of Senegalese descent, will host the draw of the 2023 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations draw, on Thursday, 12 October, 2023 in Abidjan, C\u00f4te D&#8217;Ivoire.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Confederation of African Football (CAF) made the revelation this Wednesday via its official website, confirming the presence of the Hitman and celebrated son of Africa &#8211; whose love for football has been manifested on a number of occasions.<\/p>\n<p>The Draw for the 24-nations tournament will start at 19h00 local time\/GMT (21h00 CAT, 22h00 Cairo) at the state of the art &#8216;Parc Des Expositions&#8217; constructed in the build up to the 34th edition of the AFCON.<\/p>\n<p>The televised draw will be made available for African Football enthusiasts on CAF TV (YouTube) and it&#8217;s broadcast partners across the globe.<\/p>\n<p>In an exciting cast of legends, Akon will be joined by former Olympiakos, AS Monaco and Manchester City legend, Yaya Gnengenri Toure, who won the 2009 UEFA Champions League with Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Yayous Ogogo&#8217; as he is popularly known across the country led the Elephants to the 2015 AFCON triumph in Equatorial Guinea and has been away from public events in national colors since then.
