{"id":11488,"date":"2023-10-03T12:22:39","date_gmt":"2023-10-03T12:22:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/?p=11488"},"modified":"2023-10-03T16:15:47","modified_gmt":"2023-10-03T16:15:47","slug":"cameroon-indomitable-lionesses-frown-about-unpaid-bonuses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/fr\/cameroon-indomitable-lionesses-frown-about-unpaid-bonuses\/","title":{"rendered":"Cameroon: Indomitable Lionesses frown about unpaid bonuses"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>Cameroon players have not been paid for beating Kenya 1-0 in the 2024 AWCON qualifier game in Douala<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Each of the 24 players in camp expect 3 millions FCFA (Approximately $3800) from the FA<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Cameroon lost the return game and were bundled out of the AWCON 2024 race<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>FECAFOOT however has as policy to pay bonuses when the team qualifies from a two-legged tie fixture<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, October 3 &#8211; Uneasy calm reigns in the ranks of the senior women&#8217;s national football team of Cameroon as players who participated in the 1-0 win against Kenya close to a fortnight ago in the 2024 Africa Women&#8217;s Cup of Nations (AWCON) qualifier game are yet to be paid.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A report on Cameroon News Agency this Tuesday, have it that the 1.5 million FCFA which each of the players are entitled to for the victory is yet to be paid into their accounts.<\/p>\n<p>Eliane Manbolambo scored a bullet header which earned the victory at the Bepanda Omnisport, but the joy was short-lived as the Harambee Starlets leveled matters in the reversed fixture in Nairobi, before going on to eliminate Jean Baptiste Bisseck&#8217;s team by a 4-3 score on post-match.<\/p>\n<p>Though that elimination at the Nyayo national stadium put Cameroon out of the race to Morocco 2024, CNA is reporting that the players are entitled to their bonuses, which hasn&#8217;t been talked about so far.<\/p>\n<p>FECAFOOT and the ministry of Sports and Physical education usually pay players bonuses, but as it stands both institutions are yet to issue a statement about the current situation.<\/p>\n<p>kick442.com understands the payments have not been made because FECAFOOT has adopted a system to only push for payments of qualification bonuses for the two-legged game not payment when teams wins one of two matches without achieving qualification.<\/p>\n<p>The Samuel Eto&#8217;o-led FECAFOOT executive committee has repeatedly rebuffed claims that the institution is going through crisis with payments though its affiliates have not always been on the same wavelength on this aspect.<\/p>\n<p>Pundits have blamed Cameroon&#8217;s elimination from the AWCON qualifier on managerial issues ranging from logistics as the playdsers didn&#8217;t travel as scheduled, lack of motivation and even the appointment of a new trainer weeks before the game.<\/p>\n<p>Multiple, AWCON runners-up, Cameroon will miss the tournament for the first time in over two decades.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Copyright\u00a92023 kick442.com-Cameroon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>All rights reserved.
