We hope so, and I think he knows it. We may have an answer by October 10, and we have set this deadline,\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe made no communication about the fact that he was with us. Today, he is still not with us. We are working on it, we have a firm desire to do it. He knows it,\u201d Jean-Pierre Siutat explained.<\/p>\n<p>This news comes as America is also vying for the reigning NBA MVP to join its team for the Olympics.<\/p>\n<p>Both teams had a disappointing World Cup, with France being eliminated in the first round of the tournament, while America failed to secure the bronze medal after losing to Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Embiid\u2019s impressive stats make him a valuable addition for either team. He averaged 33.1 points, 10.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.7 blocks per game last season and would be a huge asset for any team he chooses to play for.<\/p>\n<p>France and America are not the only countries interested in Embiid, as the Philadelphia 76ers star has triple citizenship. Although he is not particular drawn to represent Cameroon, he has never explicitly ruled out that option.<\/p>\n<p>Playing at the Olympics will be the first major tournament for Embiid and a boost to his already flamboyant basketball career.<\/p>\n<p>Despite these numerous interests, one is still not sure on what the 29-years-old&#8217;s decision will be. In a BasketNews article In January, Joel explained his reservations towards making such decisions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;ve been asked this question a lot before. \u2026 At the international level, it&#8217;s a good thing that I acquired French nationality,\u201d Embiid said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, it would be a nice sequence if I win a title with the Sixers before. A World Cup title this summer or Olympic gold next year would be really good. But I don&#8217;t know what will happen by then because if I win in the NBA, I can be very tired.
