Traditional rulers from the Northwest Region of Cameroon left the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaound\u00e9 in disappointment following PWD of Bamenda’s 0-2 defeat to Fovu of Baham in the final of the 2023 Cup of Cameroon.<\/p>\n
The custodians and elites, who began watching the encounter with much anxiety and hope for victory, became troubled , when Fovu’s forward Hansi Mbappe beat two of PWD’s defenders to hit the opening goal at the 10th minutes of the game.<\/p>\n
Hoping for a leveler from the boys of coach Constantine Bep. Some traditional rulers began supporting their jaws with their hands. Others discussing with each other.<\/p>\n
These acts were accompanied by signs of worries,following the team’s poor performance.<\/p>\n
The degree of sadness got to its apex, when Stephane Ikpeme, in a well executed set-piece scored the second for Fovu.<\/p>\n
As the central referee blasted the final whistle, the highly expectant traditional rulers and elites, left the pitch one by one in a remorseful manner, with much regret.<\/p>\n
Worthy of note, they had contributed in raising 50 Millions FCFA as support to the club in the build up to the final.<\/p>\n
