Cameroon Vs Burundi will be staged in the city of Garoua, which played host to a remarkable group of players at the 33rd edition of the Cameroon 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. The city will again be in the spotlight this September 12. It’s the umpteenth test for this beautiful city to showcase Cameroon’s expertise. But above all, it’s an opportunity for Cameroon to consolidate and confirm its reputation as a magnet for major sporting events.<\/p>\n
To this end, the Governor of the North Region, Jean Abate Edi’i, the President of the North Regional Council, the Mayor of the City of Garoua and the Divisional Officer of the of Benou\u00e9 met with the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, to make the final adjustments before the important meeting of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.<\/p>\n
The proceedings, which took place in a constructive atmosphere, resulted in recommendations aimed at the proper management and control of security in and around the stadium, before, during and after the crucial encounter.<\/p>\n
They also focused on the rational management of the stadium’s capacity, particularly in terms of attendance on the day of the match, which will be played in a completely sold out stadium.<\/p>\n
The stadium’s operational services were also to be made easily accessible, and the various aspects of sovereignty will have to be managed. Governor Jean Abate Edi’i has pledged to do everything within his powers to ensure that the State has full control over matters relating to sovereignty and protocol management.<\/p>\n
Directives were also issued to ensure that the equipment at the Roumd\u00e9 Adjia stadium is fully functional and operational, so that the stadium’s technological features are effective.<\/p>\n
In general terms, MINSEP called for all energies to be mobilised so that the true spirit of the Lion’s fighting spirit will propel Cameroon to victory at the Roumd\u00e9 Adjia Stadium, 13 years after the Indomitable Lions last played in Garoua.<\/p>\n
Monday’s meeting followed on from the consultation and summary meetings on the organisation of the Cameroon Vs Burundi match, held in Yaound\u00e9 on September 5. Cameroon Vs Burundi is part of Day 6 of the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations to be held in C\u00f4te D’Ivoire from January to February 2024.<\/p>\n
