Multiple reports are suggesting that Cameroon Elite One champion and failed flag bearers in this season’s CAF Champions League, Cotonsport of Garoua, could sack coach Christophe Ousmanou Bonaventure within the next 24 hours.<\/p>\n

According to our findings, the club’s top management will hold a crisis meeting this Thursday to address the causes and consequences of their shock 0-2 defeat to Real Bamako last weekend that culminated in a pre-mature exit from the CAF interclub competitions.<\/p>\n

Coach Ousmanou who was registered as the club’s head coach in the competition could see his contract terminated after just two games in charge while French overall head coach Daniel Breard stay on.<\/p>\n

Ousmanou and Breard joined the club in the build up to this season as replacement for Jean Baptiste Bisseck and Francois Ngounou who had just inspired the 18th domestic triumph.<\/p>\n

Breard arrived in Garoua on the eve of the second-leg game, but couldn’t stir the group stage regulars to more than the defeat performance, thus amounting to a first exit in the preliminaries in the past four seasons.<\/p>\n

President Fernand Sadou and the club’s board have a tough season ahead which will certainly be affected by some of the decisions arrived at this Thursday at the Club’s headquarters.<\/p>\n

Coton’s early exit from the CAF Champions League leaves Cameroon with no representation in the interclub competitions as Bamboutos FC who had the other slot in the Confederation Cup were not granted clearance on recommendation from Cameroon football federation (FECAFOOT) and approval of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).<\/p>\n
