Victoria United FC have taken another step towards promotion to the Cameroon top-flight championship for the first time since their relegation in 2005.
Junior Djacba scored twice while Ebua got the other goals as the club returned to Elite football via the Interpools last August picked up a 3-0 win against OFTA of Kribi.
Victoria United scored late in the first-half through Djacba before two quick fire second-half goals ensured the match day 21 fixture at the Limbe Centenary stadium added three points to their tally.
The result which confirmed the relegation of the men from Kribi and put Victoria United with seven points atop the standings.
Opopo as they are fondly called have been the most in-form team in the second tier championship this 2022/23 season.
The Limbe-based outfit has picked up 12 victories and four draws in 20 games this campaign.
With four rounds of matches to go, Victoria United are points seven better than Lausanne Academy and Stade Bertoua who lead the chasing pack that consist of Aigle Royal of Moungo, Unisport and Foncha Street FC.
Coach Guy Berlin’s Victoria United have the most efficient team in front of goal and defensively. They have scored 31 goals and conceded 10 going into the last bend of the race to the top-flight championship.
