Cameroon Elite one side Cotonsport of Garoua, has announced the signing of four new players in the January transfer window amidst the exit of some key players.
The defending champions after the Cameroon top tier championship, have been busy in the market in search of options to fill the voids left by the likes of captain Marou Souaibou, Felix Oukine, with more players expected to journey out of the club in the days ahead.
The cotton weavers on Friday announced that they have acquired the services of Nigerian Center forward, Moshood Kasali Goma from Warri Wolves. The 38_year_old has previously represented Delta Force FC, Kwara United FC, and Jigawa Golden stars FC.
Another Nigerian forward Emmanuel Igboeri Ebubechoukwu, has also joined the Cotonites. 24_year_old Igboeri is returning to the Continent after a stint in Finland, where he played for Vaasa IFK and Puotinkylän Valtti.
27_year_old Cameroonian center forward Moustapha Enoch Djidjiwa, is one of the new additions to Gabriel Haman’s side. The former Eding Sport and Dragon man returns to a league he knows very well, after a stint with Tunisian league side Avenir Sportif Rejiche. He has also represented six clubs in Albania between 2017 and 2021, including FK Partizani and FK Dinamo.
The fourth new name to join the ranks of Cotonsport, is youngster Madi Stanislas, who has been promoted from the club’s youth team.
Cotonsport has seen two key players leave the team midway through the season, with captain Marou Souaibou joining south Africa’s Orlando Pirates, while Felix Oukine switched to Belgian side Raal La Louvière.
The futures of Kaiba Djawal and Patient Wassou with the club are also in doubt, with multiple reports suggesting the two might be heading to Europe anytime soon.
