  • Jean Pierre Nsame doubled his goal tally for the current season by scoring a brace against Lugano
  • The game ended 4-1 in favor of Young Boys who remained atop the Swiss Super League championship

Cameroonian striker, Jean Pierre Nsame scored twice while Joël Monteiro and Fabian Lustenberger got the other goals as Young Boys made light work of visiting Lugano this Sunday on match day 6 of the Swiss Super League.

Nsame came into the game on the back of a personal difficult streak as he had not scored in recent matches.

However, the 30-year-old club legend put the host ahead after just 19 minutes at the Wankdorf Stadium.

The quick-fire start saw Monteiro reward the host with their second of the afternoon just after the half hour mark.

Nsame completed his brace before the interval, benefiting from a careless defensive performance from the Lugano backline to make it 3-0.

Lugano returned from the interval as a much improved side. They limited the damage by conceding just once, through Lustenberger and even scored a goal for themselves late on through substitute Yanis Cimignani, ten minutes from time to leave the final score as 4-1 in favor of Young Boys.

The brace takes Nsame’s tally for the season to four goals in six Super League appearances.

The latest wins takes Young Boys’ points tally to 14 from six games in the domestic championship of this campaign. They are tied atop with FC Lucerne that have played a game more than the reigning champions.
