SW mini Interpools: Tiku Albert scores belter as  ISOHSA darkens Bright Stars

Brandon Babo and Albert Tiku have given Isles of hope football Academy of Limbe a semi final ticket of the SW regional playoffs,following a 2-0 win over new comers, Bright Stars FC of Kumba.

Before thousands of football loving population of the region, both sides exhibited superiority,and quest for victory, unfortunately for the boys from Kumba, their efforts weren’t good enough.

Two second half goals from saw ISOSHA mark a brilliant start towards representing the region at the National Interpools by Emerging Champions of the region of the very first time.

Kelvin Ashu denied Mengot Enow’s one on one chance to beat him, coming out to make a swift brilliant save with better intentions that fouling the player in his box.

The debutants got the better of ISOSHA in the opening half of the game, yet the goals were far fetched. The opponent’s backline was well guarded.

The first 45 minutes saw a zero all tie in this crucial encounter. All efforts from either side to take the lead were futile.

Brandon Babo broke the silence 15 minutes into the second segment , outsmarted Bright Stars defenders to beat helpless goalkeeper Phillip Moto.

At this point, coach Nlend reinforced by bringing in Eyong Nka and Chi Alex who get the goals coming in after the lead.

Albert Tiku doubled the lead at the 69th minute when he stroke from afar and the unexpected kick went in. Phillip’s attempt to save the ball was already too late as his save inside helped Tiku send the ball right in.

The controversial scene saw coach Enow Tanyi sent away from the touch line with a red card for contracting the referees decision.

Bright Stars became even more fierce after the two goal lead, giving goalkeeper Kelvin much work at goal but the level headed keeper was a force to reckon with.

Kelvin on three occasions in less than ten minutes, made crucial saves to frustrate the new comers attempts.

The boys from Limbe who are tipped one of the favorites to represent the region come July 15 in Yaoundé, will back home 100 thousand francs each as extra motivation from the team’s executive who had promised the players and staff a whopping sum of two million cfa if they win this game.
