Super Falcons made it two wins out of its last two games with a 2-1 win over Haiti in a friendly match on Friday in Antalya.
The game which was another preparation match for the nine-time African Champions ahead of this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup saw the return of Barcelona forward, Asisat Oshoala who played her first game for the team this year.
Esther Okoronkwo scored the first goal of the game for Nigeria in the 40th minute from a left-footed free kick.
Oshoala doubled the lead for Randy Waldrum’s side in the 58th minute from a goal-mouth scramble.
Melchie Dumornay pulled a goal back for Haiti in the 75th minute but it could not prevent the West African side from securing a win.
The win was Nigeria’s second consecutive victory after a 1-0 win over Costa Rica ended the team’s seven-match winless run at the maiden Revelation Cup.
Up next for the ever-present FIFA Women’s World Cup campaigners is a clash with World Cup co-host New Zealand on Tuesday.
