Following a week of intense preparations, including the official handover of kits for the 2025/26 football season to the 12 participating teams, the sixth edition of the Guinness Super League is set to kick off on Sunday, February 8, in Yaoundé.

The season was initially scheduled to begin on Saturday, February 7, but the opening fixture was pushed back by a day due to Cameroon’s U20 Women’s World Cup qualifying match against Botswana, which will be played on home soil.

Another season of excitement and electric atmosphere awaits lovers of football, particularly fans of the women’s game. The suspense and competitiveness the league continues to generate are remarkable. Over the years, predicting a winner has become increasingly difficult, especially midway through the season, due to the growing balance and intensity among the teams.

The arrival of Fondation Agai FF de Pitoa from the North Region and AS Dibamba de Douala adds further intrigue to the campaign. With the ambition to challenge defending champions Lekie Filles or simply secure survival in the top flight, every point will be crucial throughout the season.

Officiating the season opener will be Ntui Ayuk Priscilia, a newly promoted FIFA referee from Cameroon’s South West Region. This appointment marks a major milestone in her career, as it will be her first official match with a FIFA badge—an achievement reflecting years of passion, dedication, and consistency.

She will be assisted by Adji Maidouga and Assoumta Julienne as first and second assistant referees, while Njih Vidal Claire will serve as the fourth official.

The curtain-raiser will see defending champions Lekie Filles take on Authentic FC in a highly anticipated clash dubbed the “Guinnessico.” The match is scheduled to take place at the Omnisport Annex Stadium in Yaoundé.

Participating Teams:
Lekie Filles, Dja Sports, FC Ebolowa, Authentic FC, Cyclone FC, Vision FFA, Louves Minproff, Ita Mbong FC, Éclair de Sa’a, Amazone FAP, Fondation Agai FF, AS Dibamba.
