Young Congolese reporters are currently taking part in a two days capacity-building workshop in the press conference room of the Stade des Martyrs, Kinshasa.This session which commenced on March 13, is organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
It features interactive learning and professional guidance which will span to March 14, 2024. It is aimed at enhancing their reporting skills and knowledge in sports journalism
Under the guidance of Jerry Kalemo, CAF Media Officer, the session delved into the nuances of sports reporting. The agenda spanned various topics, equipping the reporters with a deeper understanding of their field.

The atmosphere was one of camaraderie and curiosity, as the young journalists eagerly interacted and posed questions, extending the dialogue beyond the structured curriculum.
The seminar’s objective was to hone their skills for effective coverage of sports events, especially football.
As the workshop progresses into its second day, March 14, the focus shifts to distinguishing the roles of Club Media Officers and Media Officers.
The seminar not only promises to enrich the participants’ knowledge but also to recognize their efforts with a certificate of completion.
This event coincides with the upcoming Pan-African school tournament in Kinshasa, which will feature teams from four nations, showcasing the synergy between sports and media in the continent’s vibrant landscape.
