Senegal’s AFCON-Winning Team Receives Fitting Cash Rewards and Land from the Nation’s President

His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye Faye, President of Senegal, has offered the Teranga Lions generous rewards for emerging winners of the 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations.

The President announced the bonuses after receiving the team at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday evening, following an electrifying victory parade through the streets of Dakar with the AFCON trophy. The triumph marked Senegal’s second continental title in four years.

Each player, along with members of the Senegalese Football Federation and sports ministry officials who accompanied the team to Morocco for the tournament, was handsomely rewarded.

Every member of the Teranga Lions will receive €115,000 and a 1,500 m² plot of land at the Petite Côte in the Dakar region.

Members of the Senegalese Football Federation have each been awarded €75,000 and a 1,000 m² plot of land.

In addition, all ministerial officials and other stakeholders who accompanied the team to Morocco will receive €46,500 each, along with a 500 m² plot of land.

Since their arrival in Dakar with the trophy, the African champions have received nothing short of a welcome befitting of champions.

Senegal were crowned champions of Africa for the second time on January 18 in Rabat, after narrowly defeating hosts Morocco in front of a crowd of 66,552 at the Prince Moulay Abdallah Stadium.
