Passionate Golf player and former Cameroon football federation (FECAFOOT) boss Seidou Mbombo Njoya, has been appointed honorary president of the country’s Golf Federation.
According to a release from the office Deschamps Lothin Elessa, the president of the Cameroon Golf federation, prince Seidou will be the institution’s roving leader for the rest of his mandate.
This decision offers a first public office role in Cameroon for Seidou who has done very little public events in Cameroon since December 2021.
The honorary president position allows Seidou to make recommendations and guide in matters of the federation and beyond.
The Golf federation could benefit from Seidou’s over 30 years experience in the sports industry and grow beyond limits.
Before the appointment, Seidou was serving as CAF’s fourth vice president and president of the CHAN commission at the same institution.
Cameroon’s Golf federation has embarked on a number of developmental projects recently and the arrival of president Seidou will enhance rapid growth.
