Saturday, March 4, the president of the Cameroon football federation (FECAFOOT) Samuel Eto’o Fils, appeared as a surprised guest at the Limbe Centenary stadium to watch matches counting for the season opener.
Eto’o who has been very present in match venues since he became president of FECAFOOT was one of the many high profile dignitaries at the stands of the aged-old structure.
The 41-year-old in his second year in office watched Kumba City FC beat the league debutants Bright Stars of the same city by 2-1 in the first game.
Eto’o will also watchthe second game in which Tiko United FC will face last year’s runners-up Best Stars Academy.
The firebrand administrator has maintained a close relationship with the Southwest and officials of football in the region as many believe it is the region where his journey to the FECAFOOT presidency was defined.
