Former Cameroon international Sampson Che has died this morning in Buea, Southwest Cameroon.
Che Sam as he was popularly known lost his long battle with Diabetes this June 27 and journeyed to the world beyond, leaving many in total shock.
A fine footballer deep into the early 2000s, ‘Le Terrible Kadange or Gauche’ lead Kumbo Strikers to the Cup of Cameroon triumph in 2000, defeating Unisport 1-0 in the final. He also played for Fovu of Baham and APR of Kigali Rwanda amongst others before retirement.

Sam Che was part of the Samuel Eto’o generation of Indomitable Lions and won a few caps with the national team, including featuring in a 1998 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier game against Mozambique in Maputo in 1997.
Upon retirement jovial footballer who served the game as a trainer, administrator and a legal advisor died at the age of 52.
His death leaves the Cameroon football fraternity in total shock and disbelief especially as a few days back he was very engaged with stakeholders on various social media platforms.
