The newly appointed head coach of the Central African Republic (CAR) national team, Rigobert Song, has expressed pride and commitment to leading the team to success.
In a statement released after his official unveiling, “It is with great pride that I address you today, after having had the honor of signing as head coach of the Central African national team.” “This moment marks the beginning of a new chapter for football in the Central African Republic,” he highlighted in his official statement.
The former Cameroonian coach was appointed as the head coach of CAR on a two-year contract, despite a dispute between the Central African Football Federation (FCF) and the government over his appointment.
In his eagerness to start working, Song stated, “My commitment to my second country is total. I’m here not only to lead but to inspire every young player to give their best on the field.”
Song’s vision for the team is clear as he plant to build a competitive team that proudly represents the nation on the international stage. He also plans to develop local talent and integrate strategies to maximize their chances of success.
